Deborah Lippmann: Rockin’ Robin

Deborah Lippmann’s Rockin’ Robin is perfect for Easter weekend!  It’s a nice light blue, aka Carolina blue (if you’re from NC), with small black dots throughout.

The formula was a little watery, but it evened out for the most part in two coats.  If you have a light hand, you’ll probably have to use three coats. It’s still gorgeous though – I mean, what Deborah Lippmann polish isn’t?

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

I Love Nail Polish: Gaia

These I Love Nail Polish Ultra Chrome Flakies are giving me life! They are absolutely stunning!

For this manicure, I didn’t use any base polish – just strictly the flakies.  It took three thin layers to become opaque.  Gaia shifts from blue to green to purple.  It’s very mermaid-esque.

If you haven’t picked up ILNP Ultra Chrome Flakies you need to!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I Love Nail Polish: Phoenix

Happy Mani Monday!

I’ve been on an unofficial no buy (minus my Julep Maven boxes) for the last few months, but when ILNP released their Ultra Chrome Flakies I had to have some!  This is two coats of Phoenix over Julep Judi, which is a dark violet.

The flakies in Phoenix shift through a variety of colors including purple, pink, orange, and gold.  The formula was amazing.  The flakies covered the whole nail with zero bald spots.  I can’t wait to try the other three I picked up!

Zoya: Yuna

I’ve been slacking majorly with my nails for the last month.  The winter here in North Carolina has been rainy and gloomy so far, which is making me quite depressed.  On top of that my nails have been breaking left and right.  So frustrating.  I’m ready for warm weather again.

Zoya Yuna is the most recent polish I’ve worn.  Hopefully I’ll get my groove back soon.  Yuna is a beautiful gray-blue/green with gold shimmer.  Perfect dark color for winter.  The formula was nice, two easy coats.

Happy Saturday!

Essie: Ignite the Night

Tonight is my company’s Christmas party and I decided to paint my nails something sparkly and festive.  This is three coats of Essie’s Ignite the Night from their Encrusted Treasures collection.

The polish is a beautiful silver and gunmetal glitter that is dense enough to be wore alone.  It’s also beautiful as a glitter top coat over a variety of colors.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Zoya: India

I wanted to do some cute nail art for Thanksgiving, but in all honesty I just don’t have time.  Instead I opted for an amazing fall shade.  Zoya India is gorgeous!  It’s a dark burgundy with amazing coppery-gold shimmer.

The sun hasn’t been shinning in the last few days and you can still see the shimmer! India’s formula was perfect.  Extremely opaque and was like butter when applying it.

I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving!
